It is believed that Caterina de Medici (1519 1589) slept in room number 47 on her visits to Florence. Some of the interior spaces, such as the lounges and breakfast room have maintained their original florentine style with antique furniture and splendid wall frescos, others are instead furnished in a modern style respecting the traditional elegance of the hotel.
