Beautiful setting and gastronomic delight!
Just returned from a four night stay at Casamar. The hotel setting is one of it's very best features as it overlooks the bay and has a great terrace for dining. The hotel bedrooms are fairly basic in terms of decor but are comfortable and clean and certainly contain all the amenities one tends to need on a beach type holiday.
Of course it's the restaurant that steals the show at this hotel. The chef creates a gastronomic feast even when you're on the set menu (for hotel residents). There is a good choice of courses and many delicious extras such as excellent homemade breads, interesting and delicious amuse bouche as well as petits fours. The presentation is fabulous, the quality of the ingredients excellent and the chef's imagination superb without being pretentious. The service is friendly, calm and professional.
