The Salvador Dalí Museum is the permanent home of the world most comprehensive collection of the renowned artist's work. The Dalí Theatre Museum contains a wide variety of works which portray the artistic trajectory of the Empordanese painter, from his first artistic experiments — Impressionism, Futurism, Cubism, etc. — and his creations within Surrealism, until the works of the last years of his life. Adults and children alike are fascinated with exibits such as the car that rains indoors, Mae West's lips, melting clocks, (and not forgetting) ants! Dali's fine art, jewelery collections, sculptures and all manner of surreal objects to feed the imagination are all on show. You can't really take it all in on one visit. Highly recommended. It is around 10 € entry senior citizens, students: 7 € children under 9 are free. open until 7.15 pm in the summer and 5.15 pm in the winter.
